Earlier this year, Lely celebrated 20 years of Lely Discovery, highlighting the significant impact this innovation has had on dairy farming worldwide for two decades. Now, we are proud to share another major milestone in the Lely Discovery story: the assembly of the 2,000th Discovery Scraper, assembled in our factory this year! This achievement not only speaks to the success of the product but also to the dedication of the team behind it.
Whether equipped with water or not, the Lely Discovery Scraper has become a trusted tool on dairy farms, helping farmers maintain cleaner barn floors that can improve hoof and udder health. Designed to work safely and efficiently among cows, the scraper has evolved through continuous innovation, from its early compass-based navigation to the introduction of water spraying for biofilm removal and app-based route programming.
With more than 23,000 Discovery scraper units operating worldwide, the 2,000 units assembled this year are a symbol of progress, perseverance, and pride.

The assembly of the 2,000th unit is believed to be only the second time ever such a milestone has been reached in the production facility, making it a rare and memorable event. That’s why we celebrated this milestone with the people who worked hard to make this milestone possible.
This milestone caps off the highest production year ever for Lely’s manure products, showcasing immense potential worldwide and unwavering commitment to dairy farming excellence.
