Philadelphia, Pa. — Scott VanGrouw, President of Lely North America, participated in a high-level CEO Round Table held at the Cira Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event took place in conjunction with the official working visit of King Willem-Alexander (pictured on the left below) and Queen Máxima of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United States.

The roundtable convened senior leaders from Dutch multinational companies, alongside government officials including Josh Shapiro, Governor of the Pennsylvania, to discuss strengthening economic ties, advancing innovation, and expanding investment opportunities.

VanGrouw represented Lely during the innovation segment of the discussion, highlighting the company’s role in advancing agricultural technology and automation across North America. Lely, a global leader in robotic solutions for dairy farming, continues to invest in innovations that improve farm efficiency, animal welfare, and long-term sustainability.

“This roundtable underscores the strong and growing relationship between the Netherlands and the United States, particularly in agriculture and technology,” said VanGrouw. “At Lely, we are proud to be part of that collaboration, helping dairy producers adopt forward-thinking solutions that support animal welfare, productivity and sustainability.”

The CEO Round Table brought together executives from leading Dutch companies including Philips, Rabobank, AkzoNobel, Arcadis, Signify, and others, alongside representatives from the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW).

Discussions focused on three key themes: strengthening bilateral trade and investment, strengthening cooperation for innovation, and supporting workforce development. The event also provided an opportunity for direct engagement with the Dutch royal delegation and U.S. leadership, reinforcing shared commitments to economic growth and international partnership.

The roundtable concluded with closing remarks from Sjoerd Sjoerdsma and Governor Shapiro, followed by a networking reception.
