Manager of Aftermarket/Consumables
Organizational context: Responsible for the ‘How’ in the North American proposition Business Teams and Regions regarding spare parts and aftermarket products in the market and support, along with the “What and When” of the Spare Parts & Consumables proposition. The ‘How’ refers to the ways of working, tooling/applications, compliance, and alignment of processes in the Business Teams and Regions regarding spare parts/aftermarket field support. The “What and When’ refers to the ways of working within Business Teams for the consumables.
Summary:
The Manager of Aftermarket/Consumables is responsible for leading the successful growth and sales of Lely North American aftermarket products and developing the consumables business through product positioning, educating, troubleshooting, training, marketing, and new product introduction. Supports the Business Teams to pursue the growth of Lely sales in the aftermarket and consumables sector in North America. Key decision-making responsibilities of this role will require proper alignment with Lely International's aftermarket and consumables proposition and support teams, working closely with all Lely NA business development activities and channel partners, and being an active member of the Lely NA Commercial management team. Responsible for ensuring a high level of end-user and Lely Center Dealer satisfaction. Travel requirement to consist of 30-40% annually, domestic and/or international. Preferred location in the Midwestern U.S. Region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible to develop, a comprehensive plan for consumables and aftermarket, including portfolio, Marketing, Sales, Organziational, Financial, Operatoinal, Logistics, Vendors to maximize the sustainable growth of spare parts and product sales.
- Support and train the North American Business Teams, Milk Quality Specialists, and Lely Center Development team to maximize the sustainable growth of aftermarket products and sales to Lely customers.
- Work closely with LNA Customer Service Desk, Supply Chain, and LI Business Team of Consumables and Spare Parts to keep up to date on the market requirements and opportunities and help identify opportunities that will help Lely NA & Lely Centers to grow in this market segment, including timely aftermarket price file updates.
- Analyze AFS Field Intelligence statistics and work collaboratively with the Business and Regional Teams to determine business growth potential and opportunities for distribution development.
- Understand and identify growth opportunities for the Lely Centers, properly positioning products in the market, and guiding efforts to extend market growth.
- Educate, challenge, and develop staff members on the features and benefits of the Lely products and make recommendations for placing the products in sales and service offerings.
- Understand market trends and needs to keep product portfolio updated and current to be competitive and relevant to the North America market being aware of differences between Canada and USA to approach differently.
- Identify new product developments or suppliers within existing products (i.e., chemicals/udder care)
- Nurture and manage relations with Lely International and with current and future suppliers.
- Work with the Marketing Department to ensure the most effective approach to promote products.
- Establish annual budgets and report financial results to exceed budget expectations
- Utilize Lely Tableau, Lely Self-Service Support App, Infor M3, and other management platforms to analyze business performance and make decisions on product portfolio and market needs

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Dairy Science, Agriculture, Chemical, or Business Management. Extensive experience in e-commerce, e-learning, and/or servitization processes. 10+ years of experience in sales and/or a combination of relevant education and experience.
